Albums...

Just going over some of my collection trying to figure out what CD's I need to replace due to rampant crackhead music lovers hanging outside bars I play at. So I figured I'd make a small list of CD's that inspired me, touched me, moved me.

Camper Van Beethoven – "Key Lime Pie"
Prescott Curlywolf – "Six Ways To Sunday"
Emmet Swimming – "Arlington To Boston"
Dada – "El Subliminoso"
King’s X – "Dogman"
Marvelous 3 – "Hey Album"
Seven Mary Three – "Rock Crown"
Afghan Whigs - "Black Love"
Archers Of Loaf – "Vee Vee"
Concrete Blonde - "Free"
Crash Test Dummies – "God Shuffled His Feet"
Firewater – "The Ponzi Scheme"
Butch Walker – "Left Of Self-Centered"
Cracker – "The Golden Age"
My Morning Jacket – "It Still Moves"
Brother Cane – "Seeds"
Glen Philips – "Alubum"
Monks Of Doom – "Meridian"
The Replacements – "Tim"
Victor Krummenacher – "Nocturne"
Chocolate Genius - "Black Music"

In the music world today, when it's all about how much money can be made off one "single", I keep coiming back to these records. How they not only work together as an entire album, but how they seem to be a timpeice for the artists themselves.

Each and every one changed my life in different ways, Some small, some huge... and became timepeices for me as well. Listening drags all my senses back to the time that I first heard them. I can close my eyes and smell what I smelled back then. THAT, my friends, will move you.
